Kazakhstan’s dairy sector has been deemed a national priority by the government, showcasing the sector’s growing importance to the country and the Central Asian region. The dairy sector has received $370M in state funding and has the potential to shift from a structural import gap of roughly 600,000 tons of milk, to a major dairy-exporting country.
For who?
These major developments represent huge opportunities for Dutch suppliers of milking systems, cow comfort, feed, genetics, processing, barn equipment, animal health, farm software and other technological inputs.
Programme
Following last year’s Netherlands trade mission to the KazAgroExpo, East-West Trade (EWTC) is once again organising a trade mission and pavilion at the same venue from 19 - 23 October consisting of:
- 2 days of field visits to farms and other similar companies
- 3 days at KazAgro / KazFarm 2026 in Astana as part of the official Netherlands pavilion, including pre-arranged meetings and networking events.
This mission is another opportunity for Dutch companies to benefit from one of Central Asia’s emerging markets in the dairy sector.
