The 2026 International Rural Innovation and Development Expo (IRID EXPO) will be held in Hefei, Anhui Province, from 9–11 April 2026.
IRID EXPO is an international exhibition focusing on agricultural modernization, and sustainable development, agricultural machinery, agricultural products, and greenhouse horticulture. Within the exhibition scope, facility agriculture and smart agriculture are key thematic areas. Relevant exhibition categories include intelligent greenhouse control systems, plant factory and vertical farming equipment, water and fertilizer-saving systems, seed and breeding technologies, precision agriculture equipment, and agricultural digitalization solutions.
Since its launch, IRID EXPO has developed into a forum for international agricultural dialogue and business interaction. The inaugural edition attracted participants from more than 20 countries, including the United States, the United Kingdom, Australia, Israel, Romania, and Malaysia. The Expo brings together a wide range of participants, including government agencies, agricultural and rural authorities, enterprises, service providers, research institutions, and professional buyers. Audience categories cover agricultural production entities, infrastructure and municipal units, service and engineering companies, traders and integrators, as well as universities, research institutes, and industry associations.
The Expo is hosted in Anhui Province, a major agricultural region in China and part of the Yangtze River Delta. Anhui benefits from its proximity to Shanghai, Jiangsu, and Zhejiang, as well as from solid agricultural foundations, seed research capacity, and the ongoing development of digital and smart agriculture. These characteristics provide relevant context for understanding China’s agricultural market and regional development trends.
IRID EXPO 2026 will take place at the Hefei Binhu International Convention and Exhibition Center. A series of professional forums, conferences, and thematic events will be held during the Expo period.
A distinctive feature of IRID EXPO 2026 is its Outdoor Dynamic Demonstration Area, covering approximately 10,000 m². This area is dedicated to live demonstrations of smart agricultural equipment and systems, including agricultural drones, intelligent fruit and vegetable harvesting equipment, integrated water–fertilizer systems, and digital monitoring technologies. Professional audiences are organized to visit the demonstration area, allowing for on-site observation of equipment operation and application scenarios.
