Livestock:

Nguyen Hong Ngu, living in Luong Nghia Commune, Long My District, Hau Giang Province, is honored as the “King of Buffalo” because in this western land, it is difficult to find farmers who successfully farm hundreds of buffaloes in the hand now.

With over 20 years of experience, from only 1 female buffalo, Nguyen has grown and had hundreds of buffaloes at his farm.

Currently, Nguyen still owns nearly 150 male buffaloes, more than 50 female buffaloes. Each year, the herd reproduces 40-50 calves.

Plantation:

Farmer Vu Van Kiem in Phuoc Son Commune, Bu Dang District, Binh Phuoc Province is well known for growing sua in Binh Phuoc (Scientific name of sua is Dalbergia tonkinensis Prain).

After nearly 15 years, from the original 400 sua trees, his family now has 1,400 large and small sua trees worth hundreds of billion of Vietnamese dong.

In addition, currently, his family has planted 14,000 Ming aralia trees (Polyscias fruticos) aged 4-7 years old. In addition, Vu also plants more than 10 hectares of rubber, which is being harvested.

Fruits:

With more than 20 hectares of well-planned jackfruit trees in the middle of barren sandy land, Nguyen Dinh Thin is famous for growing jackfruit in Ea Rot Village, Cu Elang Commune, Ea Kar District, Dak Lak Province.

Currently, the average yield of jackfruit at Nguyen's orchard is about 900 tons/year. With the average selling price of VND10,000/kilogram, Nguyen’s family earns VND9 billion/year. Deducting the expenses, the profit is nearly VND3 billion.

Nguyen’s jackfruit garden has a stable output because businesses come to order and buy fruits directly to export to China, South Korea, and the EU.

Farmers, Agriculture, Countryside:

Hai Duong Province is implementing a strict social isolation in the whole province for 15 days. Therefore, the consumption of agricultural products in the province has become more difficult and more difficult.

According to authority, up to now, the province still has about 4,000 hectares of winter vegetables to be harvested; production is estimated at more than 90 thousand tons.

Before the Lunar New Year until now, due to the impact of the COVID-19 pandemic and social isolation, the consumption of agricultural products in Hai Duong has decreased significantly compared to the previous years.

Living and Environment:

Since its operation in 2006 until now, Cu Chi Wildlife Rescue Station in Ho Chi Minh City has rescued, cared for and released back to the forest more than 5,500 individuals belonging to dozens of rare wildlife species.

Animals that are taken care of for 3-6 months at the station will be released to the wild in national forests such as Cat Tien, Cuc Phuong to start a new life.

Pet, Flowers and Ornamental Plants:

Nguyen Dang Khoa in My Tho City, Tien Giang Province is the owner of two unique, large-scale ornamental farms in the Mekong Delta. His farm has many old trees worth billions of Vietnamese dong.

Although the two farms have just been established for the past 10 years, there are thousands of ornamental plants of all kinds with ages ranging from a few decades to more than 100 years.

In which, there are about 3,000 Tung trees (yew plum pine) of all kinds that are rare and valuable. An ancient yew plum pine with more than 100 years old, for example, costs about VND5 billion.
