Serbia: Poultry Business Forum opens in September

Between September 7-9, the Netherlands will be a partner country at the event

The Netherlands is a partner country of the sixth Poultry Business Forum  that will take place between September 7-9, 2022, in Arandjelovac, Serbia. Poultry professionals from the Western Balkan region will gather in Arandjelovac to improve their knowledge, exchange experiences and address daily challenges in poultry production.

The Embassy will organize an opening panel discussion tackling issues of food safety and animal health in the poultry sector. To explore possibilities of the sector for the Dutch companies, the Embassy commissioned a sector study, the outline of which will be presented at the panel.

Experiences and results of the Netherlands in decreasing the use of antibiotics in poultry breeding will be presented by Koen van Ginneken, Regional Agricultural Attaché and Schippers BV [GKv1]  [MM2] will present their achievements in the fight against AMR. Ahold Delhaize Serbia will contribute to the discussion by presenting their project “Reduction of AB use in poultry meat production". Representatives of the Veterinary Directorate of Serbia, Serbian Chamber of Commerce and Serbian Poultry Association will share challenges of food safety in poultry production from their perspective.

More than 300 participants and 50 exhibitors – each with their own product, services and innovations for the poultry sector will be present at the Forum. The Dutch sector will be presented by The Schippers ; Hendrix Genetics ; De Heus Srbija; Intercare BV; Orffa BV; Fancom BV; Selko Feed Additives, Nuscience and others.
