Tulip exhibition in Warsaw

This is the 12th edition of the Tulip Exhibition, which returns to the Orangery of the Wilanów Museum after two years of a pandemic break. The exhibition is organized by the Association of Flower Bulb Growers. Every year, a dozen or so producers associated in the Association present at the exhibition the varieties that they produce on a daily basis in their greenhouses for sale.

This year's edition of the exhibition was more modest than its previous editions. The reason is the difficult situation of Polish producers, related to the economic situation of recent years. The efforts of the organizers who, despite the difficult period, have not given up this form of promotion of this flower should be appreciated all the more.

The whole arrangement in the Orangery was designed in such a way that forces guests to move in one direction, which in turn supports the safe tour of the exhibition. The pandemic is also the reason why the lectures presented by the members of the Association and all additional workshops and shows for adults and children have been moved to other Museum buildings or transformed into an online formula.

Traditionally the tulips were presented in the most 'pure' formula: without any additional decorations only standing in transparent vessels on white platforms in the white space of the conservatory.

Next to the flowers during the exhibition the vistiors could read about the tulip cultivation process and about the production in the hydroponic system, which was even presented in the form of a black production box with grown tulips together with bulbs placed on the grid.

It is an important part of the exhibition as Polish custumers are not aware of the way tulips are being produced and the presentation gives a nice opportunity to share this knowlegde with the audience.
