Another new colleague in Warsaw
On Monday the 6th of September, Michelle de Groot started as the newest addition to the agri-team in Warsaw. Michelle is seconded as ‘rijkstrainee’ from the Ministry of Education, Culture and Science. She joins the team for six months and will focus on the collaboration between Dutch and Polish 'green education' - the collective for all lower and higher agricultural education institutions.
Michelle graduated Leiden University with a bachelor’s degree in History and a masters in International Relations, focusing on the EU. At the moment she is also finishing her masters degree in Philosophy of Culture and Governance at the Vrije Universiteit Amsterdam. During her internship at the Dutch Embassy in Slovenia, Michelle has been briefly introduced with the Dutch presence in the agricultural sector in the South-Eastern part of Europe. In the coming period, Michelle is looking forward to learning more about green education in Poland and the region, the similarities and differences in approach to green education and the opportunities for collaboration that result.
