The Ukrainian-Dutch enterprise Koudijs Ukraine invested € 4 million in the construction of a plant to produce vitamin-mineral mixtures (premixes) for farm animals: cattle, rabbits, pigs, chickens, etc. The enterprise is located in the village Khiltchyntsy of Zolochevsky district of the Lviv region and is expected to start producing products in late April or early May. Koudijs Ukraine calls its new premix plant the most modern in the country. “There is already production of similar products in Ukraine. For example, in the Dnipropetrovsk region there is a huge plant built 5-6 years ago. But progress in this area does not stand still. Our plant will have new equipment that will make it possible to produce high quality products,” said the commercial director of the company Dmytro Burban.

The announced capacity of plant is 1 500 tons of ready produce per month. The company plans to supply it to the local market, in the future some premixes will be sold abroad. The company already operates a plant for the processing of soybeans and sunflower and the production of feed for poultry and pig breeding.  It is planned that around 210 persons will work on the two producing facilities.

In March 2019, Koudijs Animal Nutrition, a subsidiary of the Dutch Royal De Heus (Netherlands), signed an agreement to acquire a controlling stake in the Ukrainian animal feed manufacturer D-Mix (D-Mix). D-Mix production facilities are in Zolochiv, Western Ukraine. This company produces concentrates of special feed and compound feed, mainly for poultry and pig breeding. Current production capacity is 80 thousand tons. De Heus (Netherlands), founded in 1911, is an international company whose main activity is the production and sale of high-quality animal feed.
