It is well known that The Dutch horticultural sector is a global trendsetter supplying markets all over the globe, as well as being a leading innovator in greenhouse technology. It is concentrated in six clusters, called Greenports, where businesses and research institutes work closely together on production, R&D, logistics, infrastructure, and exports. Horticulture makes a significant contribution to the country’s prosperity, through the considerable volumes and sheer quality of production, as well as via technological innovations.

International Symposia on Horticulture 2018

Indonesian Center for Horticulture Research and Development (ICHORD), one of leading research and development institutions producing horticulture innovation in supporting modern horticulture agribusiness under Indonesian Agency for Agriculture Research and Development (IAARD), Ministry of Agriculture, initiates an International Symposia on Horticulture (ISH) that especially aims to obtain information and technology on horticultural agribusiness system oriented market, to organize discussion forums for problem solving in horticultural agribusiness system that is market oriented and to publish papers presented in special editions of journals as well as proceedings of symposiums Scopus-indexed.

The Theme of International Symposia on Horticulture is “Emerging Challenges and Opportunities in Horticulture Supporting Sustainable Development Goals" which will provide a discussion forum for policy makers, scientists, practitioners, extension agents, students and other professionals to address the challenges of horticulture innovation. The organizer is inviting you for oral presentation and poster exhibition about horticulture progress update and breakthroughs or latest innovation and inventions in the Netherlands.

The symposia is held every three years. This time it is organized in Kuta, Bali on 27-30 November 2018. ISH offers the opportunity among horticulture practitioners to learn new ideas among participants from different countries, to mix and to form new relationships among parties and to strengthen existing ones and to organize discussion forums for problem solving to deal with the challenges in horticultural agribusiness system. An Agro-Edu Tourism will also be organized along with the symposia.
