Guangzhou

Robbie (Xiaowei) Wang is Agricultural Advisor stationed in CG Guangzhou.

He started on 26 August 2013 and is responsible for all agro-business in Hong Kong, Macao, and Southern China (Guangdong, Fujian, Hainan, Guangxi). His main tasks are food im/export, events organisation, horticulture, facilitating, market research, government and authorities communication.

Robbie has completed his study of MSc Urban Environmental Management in Wageningen University in 2007. He has worked for different companies in the Netherlands and Belgium on marketing investigation and development for agribusiness in Asia, especially China. He has years of experiences and network in the agricultural sector between the Netherlands and China. In August 2013 he joined the agricultural team of EA in China, stationed in Hong Kong which falls under the direct leadership of the Agricultural Counselor in Peking.

The main responsibility is to promote the agricultural and food related business between the Netherlands and Hong Kong, Macau, e.g. to support the Dutch companies and organizations with specific marketing information, communicating with the local authorities, facilitating the import/export, organizing events or seminar to enhance the visibility of the Dutch products and academic research institutes. In addition Robbie supports the EA team in CG Guangzhou for all  agriculture-related projects and events in South China.
