Opportunities in Ternopil; preparations trade mission
Western Ukraine is the focus of both the agricultural and economic teams the Embassy in 2018. In the framework of preparation of the Dutch Trade Mission to Ternopil and Chernivtsi on 25-27 June the Agri team of the Embassy together with Honorary Consul in Western Regions and the representative of PIB Bioenergy Ukraine, took part in the Ternopil Investment Forum on May 24.
Investment forum
During the Round table of the Investment Forum with representatives of the diplomatic missions and international organisations Agricultural Counsellor Carolien Spaans announced the agenda of the activities planned in Ternopil in June with the main focus on the following sectors: bioenergy, agriculture and food processing, logistics, infrastructure, water treatment, waste management and IT.
Representatives of the Embassy participated in the sections on Agriculture and Energy efficiency where the project PIB Bioenergy Ukraine was presented by Kateryna Krista and the Business meeting with the Dutch companies in bioenergy sector was announced on 15 June in Ternopil.
During the fruitful and interesting stay in Ternopil the Dutch delegation focused on issues which are of mutual interest for the Netherlands and Ternopil region in particular creation of the added value to the agricultural products, development of infrastructure and improving of the business and investment climate.

While being in Ternopil, the agricultural team took the opportunity for a company visit to Elektrosvit. Trade mission to Ternopil and Chernivtsi
The embassy of the Netherlands in Ukraine will organize a trade mission to Ternopil and Chernivtsi on June 25-27. The mission will be headed by the Ambassador, mr Ed Hoeks, and will focus both on agriculture and other sectors. Potential for green tourism
Besides having potential in different economic sectors, the region also provides a lot of opportunities for green tourism, also due to the amount of castles and history that lies in this region. When going to the region, you would have the opportunity to visit for example Kremenets (castle & cemetary with Cossack graves) or Zbarazh castle.
