Hij ziet uit naar de Klimaattop COP27 in Egypte. “Ik hoop dat deze COP leidt tot meer samenwerking wereldwijd, vooral met de landen die het hardst worden geraakt door klimaatverandering.” Dit artikel is een voorproefje van de nieuwe Agrospecial Landbouw en klimaatverandering die volgende week verschijnt.

Deze schelpdierbeurs, die sinds kort in handen is van de Franse gemeente Vannes, wil internationaliseren en nodigde dit jaar vertegenwoordigers van de Nederlandse mossel- en oestersectoren uit als eregast. Deze vakbeurs is overigens de grootste van Frankrijk.

De aanhoudende kostencrisis betekent dat steeds meer consumenten in het Verenigd Koninkrijk goedkoper eten en drinken zoeken. Vorige maand werd iets minder fruit, groente, vers vlees en vis verkocht, en meer bevroren producten in plaats van de duurdere verse varianten. Er wordt ook meer gekocht bij de prijsvechters Aldi en Lidl.

14 CEO’s uit de voedingsindustrie bezochten onder leiding van Sector Banker Food ING Ceel Elemans Barcelona. Het bedrijfsbezoek op de donderdag aan Europastry had de interesse gewekt van meerdere bedrijven uit de bakkerijsector en zij waren dan ook goed vertegenwoordigd in de groep. Maar ook bedrijven uit de food industry en food service waren van de partij.

Last year, The Egyptian government announced that ISEG Halal would be the only competent authority recognized by the Egyptian government to issue Halal certificates for all food products and factories. All imported food products were announced be Halal certified by ISEG Halal to enter Egypt. Due to the lack of clarity on the implementation of this decision, the Egyptian government has decided to postpone applying this decision till 1st of October.

ExpoPlantas: The place to be for nurserymen and ornamental growers

From 10 to 14 October, a group of 24 representatives of 18 Dutch companies visited Mexico’s main poultry and pork production regions as part of a roadshow organized by the agricultural team of the Netherlands Embassy in Mexico. They had the opportunity to present their solutions to some of Mexico’s most important poultry and pork producers, to get to know the dynamic Mexican market, and to meet many new potential clients. Sustainability challenges and lessons learned from the Netherlands were also shared with Mexican producers at the network events that were part of the roadshow.
