In verband met de vakantieperiode verschijnt Highlights Agroberichten Buitenland tweewekelijks. De volgende nieuwsbrief verschijnt 19 augustus.

De export van agrovoedingsproducten uit de Europese Unie is in de eerste vier maanden van dit jaar gestegen in vergelijking met dezelfde periode in 2020. De invoer daalde. Het handelsoverschot in de sector agrovoeding kwam uit op €22,7 miljard, een toename van 17%.

De appel- en perenoogst in Nederland neemt dit jaar naar verwachting af met bij 8%. Dat blijkt uit de oogstraming van GroentenFruit Huis en telersorganisatie NFO. De omvang van de appeloogst neemt met 14% toe, de perenoogst daalt met 19%.

De uitspraak is goed nieuws voor Mexicaanse telers.
