De Britse regering heeft bevestigd de uitgaven voor directe inkomenssteun (Bedrijfstoeslagregeling) in de landbouw dit jaar in elk geval ongewijzigd te laten. Het Britse Ministerie van Financiën stelt hiervoor 3 miljard pond beschikbaar.

Tijdens de klimaatconferentie COP25 in Madrid in december 2019 is het initiatief ‘Tequila Libre de Deforestación’ gelanceerd, te vertalen als: ‘Tequila vrij van ontbossing’. Het idee is dat de tequila-industrie in Mexico maatregelen gaat nemen om de ecologische voetafdruk in zowel de teelt van de grondstof agave als in de industriële processen te verminderen.
