Online Dutch economic mission to Japan on Digital Economy (2-5 February 2021)

From Wed 3 February 2021 to Fri 5 February 2021, the Government of the Netherlands and the Netherlands Embassy in Japan will organize an online Dutch economic mission to Japan on Digital Economy. The mission will be guided by the Dutch State Secretary for Economic Affairs and Climate Policy, Ms. Mona Keijzer, and aims to strengthen collaboration in innovation, trade, and investments in the field of digital economy. The mission will focus on three areas: Smart Industries, Smart Services and Smart Agriculture.

As a program focusing on smart agriculture, a Smart Agriculture Webinar will take place on Thursday 4 February at 16:00-18:45 JST (8:00-10:45 CET). In this webinar, experts from both Japan and the Netherlands will share the latest trends and future prospects of smart agriculture in the plenary kick-off, and this will be followed by 3 sub-sessions, – potato, dairy and greenhouse horticulture, which will address sector-specific topics in-depth. Especially, these sectors in the Netherlands are working hard to create further innovations in digitalization by utilizing IoT, big data, artificial intelligence (AI) and robots. Many Dutch companies and knowledge institutes like Wageningen University & Research (WUR) with excellent technology and know-how on digitalization are eager to meet with Japanese organizations. Therefore this online mission is a great opportunity to share knowledge and expand your network with Dutch organizations.

Participation is free of charge for Japanese organizations, but pre-registration in English via the B2Match registration platform on the mission website is required. Registered participants can sign up for events, and can request or accept 1-on-1 meetings with Dutch participants. Please note that 1-on-1 meetings have to be accepted by both parties. If necessary, Japanese translation will be provided for 10 working days after the mission (i.e., from 8 Feb to 12 Feb and from 15 Feb to 19 Feb).

The maximum number of Dutch participants has already been reached and the registration has been closed for Dutch companies.
