The agricultural drought has already been reported in 14 (out of 16) Polish provinces, and they fear that drought and unfavorable conditions for crops growing will decrease their yields and increase food prices in summer and autumn. Therefore, it is also a topic present in the public debate in Poland, even with the President involved and different Ministries offering solutions.

In order to summarize the discussion and attract the Dutch stakeholders with their solutions, the Embassy of the Kingdom of the Netherland in Warsaw is organizing on 8 June 2020 a webinar on the general topic of water retention plans in Poland, with Polish speakers giving an overview of the drought situation and water investments planned by the government.

This webinar will be devoted to the general introduction to the issue of drought prevention programmes, however, since the drought in agriculture is of main concern presently, there will be space for this topic as well during the discussion.
