Participants in these seminar series are the delegates from the Ministry of Industry and Trade, the Ministry of Agriculture and Rural Development of Vietnam, the Vietnam Vegetable and Fruit Association, the Dalat Flower Association, other state agencies, organizations and enterprises operating in the horticultural and floricultural production and processing industry. The topics of EVFTA from the viewpoint of businesses in vegetable, fruit and agricultural trading and new updates on Vietnam’s and ASEAN markets are on seminar agenda. In additions to the advantages that EVFTA would bring up, the situation also imposes urgent requirements on enterprises: must improve production, improve product quality, apply high technology in production, processing preservation, packaging, shipping, joining the global supply chain meeting the increasingly stringent requirements of export markets as well as competition in the domestic market. The seminars therefore can provide a platform that bring together interested companies to discuss and exchange ideas on current state of play where challenges and opportunities are going abreast. The Netherlands Agricultural Counsellor Willem Schoustra gave his speech the first seminar in Ho Chi Minh City on 22 October and in Hanoi on 24 October and answered interesting questions during the press interview afterward.

These seminars serve as well the kick off for incoming large Exhibition – Hortex Vietnam 2020 that will take place in Ho Chi Minh City from 26-28 February 2020.
