Netherlands – Azerbaijan Seminar on Sustainable Agriculture
The Embassy of the Kingdom of the Netherlands in Azerbaijan will hold the Netherlands – Azerbaijan Seminar on Sustainable Agriculture for Producing Healthy Food on November 12, 2019. The event is organized with the support of the Ministry of Agriculture of Azerbaijan. It will take place in Baku, at Hilton Hotel.
One of the organizers’ objectives is to share the experience of the Netherlands about Sustainable Agriculture for producing Healthy Food. Moreover, the Seminar is supposed to be a platform for identifying the challenges and opportunities in Azerbaijan for attaining Sustainable Agriculture for producing Healthy Food, and to determine in which way the Netherlands’ experience can be beneficial for this.
Relevant parties
The Seminar will bring together the relevant parties from the Netherlands and Azerbaijan including government representatives, research centers, investors, greenhouse owners, farmers, and provide presentations from both the public and private sector on Sustainable Agriculture for producing Healthy Food. The event is purposed to enable a dialogue between the different sectors aimed at providing sustainable solutions for the challenges ahead.
Smart agriculture
The program of the Seminar includes the presentations on Smart Agriculture with such topics as Sustainable Land Management, Water Management, Integrated Pest Management, Waste Management, etc. The presentations will be followed by the Panel Sessions covering the issues of Animal Health and Greenhouse Technologies.
