Two SDGP Programs Granted for Myanmar

A good time for Agriculture and Aquaculture capacity building and development in Myanmar, last week 2 proposals have been granted under the Sustainable Development Goals Partnership Facility (SDGP) of RVO (Dutch Enterprise Agency). Master Peas, with lead partner ICCO and SAFA (Sustainable and Accessible Fish for All), with De Heus as lead partner.

Master Peas aims at increased productivity and income, embedded in a value chain development with access to finance for pulses farmers. Results are expected to benefit both farmers, labourers and consumers (female and male).  New nutritious, tasty, affordable and easy to prepare pulses’ products will become available.

SAFA brings an innovative and new approach to stakeholders in the aquaculture sector in Myanmar. Besides developing professional and independent family owned farms it is also interesting in capacity building of (future) aquaculture experts and connecting fish farmers to financial institutions and markets.
