Referendum on sale of agricultural land in Ukraine.
When will it take place?
The Minister of Agrarian Policy Roman Leshchenko stated that a referendum on the sale of agricultural land to foreigners will be held within the next 3 years. He said this in an interview with Rzeczpospolita. "Currently (Since July, 2021 -editor), the agricultural land can be bought only by individuals who are citizens of Ukraine. Whether foreigners will be able to buy it will be decided during a referendum to be held in the next 3 years. Therefore, foreign investors today will only be able to still take land on long-term lease, " Leshchenko said. According to him, while the struggle for land market reform is underway, investors are looking very carefully in the direction of Ukraine.
